Lets talk about Kompany…

Vincent Kompany, our captain, our leader, our player made of paper. He has been an immense player for us. For several years he was arguable our best player. Even arguable the best centre back in the premier league.

He has led us to two premier league titles and two league cup wins. The past two seasons have been dreadful for him personally. Since September 17th 2015 he has missed 55 games and even now is out until around January 2nd pushing that number up to 59 games. That is a huge huge loss. He is the one player who can bring the stability and leadership that our defence is majorly in need of. Just look at how bad our defence is without him.

With Kompany at the back I believe Stones will not make as many mistakes, as their is a suitable cover there when Stones wants to play out from the back, something he does not get with the unpredictable Otamendi. At the same time its the same with Otamendi. They both need someone who can take charge next to them and be solid when they make a mistake.

I fear that if Kompany can not stay fit when he comes back from his current injury. Then we will struggle to make the top 4 forget about winning the league! I know that we shouldn’t need to rely on just one player. We are missing a leader in our team at the moment. I believe that Kompany is that good of a player, that he is the difference to us playing well, and us running about like headless chickens.

So if anyone knows how to give Kompany some new muscles that do not tear like paper, then please contact Manchester City Supporter Services: +44 161 4441894. Ask for Pep because I am sure that he wants Kompany back just as much as we do.

Oh to be a City fan.

Oh to be a City fan.

Any long term Manchester City fan will know how frustrating it is support them. The 90’s where our lowest point dropping down to the third division (luckily I was born in the mid-nighties so I don’t remember the really really sh*t times), back to the highest point finishing in the top 4 for 5 years now and winning two premiership titles, no longer worrying about being relegated, we now worry about not getting 4th place.

Many people will think that it was Sheik Mansour that kicked started our revival, but I think it was the owner previous, Thakshin Shinawatra, he got us from being a relegation candidate to at least a solid mid table team, like Stoke of today.

We now have one of the most successful current managers, a world class team and academy. However, that thought of same old City is still on us like a bad hangover. The best example of this comes from this season, we dominate Barcelona winning 3-1, then we go and draw against Middlesbrough 1-1, its just f*cking typical city.

Hopefully, with Pep in charge, this will no longer be a problem for us and we perform consistently week in week out. I am not stupid. I know we are in a really bad vein of form and something needs changing in our current team and fast, *cough* Kolarov and Otamendi both in a back three *cough*, but I am optimistic that in time we will become what Pep envisions us to be like, just look how we played in the first 10 games of the season.

I have never seen us play as well and dominate as much as then, it confuses me at how we was so good straight away, and now we are not. Same old City, we never change.
